 We are a for Non-Profit Corporation whose purpose is to enhance the knowledge of the public, by keeping records of the county and its people. 

The Society is to collect and make available to anyone, all historical information and create interest in the people, and the history of Morehead Kentucky and the county of Rowan.

We hope to restore and maintain as much of the local History as possible, by special projects, and any means possible.

With the help of all members we can as a body share with you and others the great things that our community has to offer.

The Society meets the First Thursday of each month at the Rowan County Public Library at 6:00 p.m.

Unless there is a special meeting, then the date and time will be sent out to all and placed here on this web site.
